Among cyanide (CN-) and aqua (H2O) ligands cyanide ligand is strong field ligand. In the presence of strong ligand (CN-) ligand the d electrons pair up leaving only one unpaired electron. Therefore the central atom undergoes d2sp3 hybridization and form inner orbital complex with one unpaired electron.
On the other hand in the presence of weak ligand (H2O) the electrons in d orbital do not pair up. Therefore the central atom undergoes sp3d2 hybridization forming an outer orbital complex with 5 unpaired electrons.
