The Eladr Protocol is a decentralized, security and efficiency enhanced Web3 noSQL database powered by IPFS as the data storage layer https://ipfs.io/, and the Cardano block chain as the rewards token platform, https://cardano.org/. It provides a JSON based, IPFS layer 2 solution for data indexing and retrieval in an 'append only' file system built with open source Node.js API libraries.

This component is called i-node. The concept of i-nodes is present in some form in all of filesystems designed for UNIX-like operating systems.With i-nodes, the contents and the structure are stored together. There still is a main i-node, called a superblock, but it’s just a starting point with no major role. Each i-node may contain filesystem metadata, filesystem contents and links to other i-nodes. The directories work the same way: they’re just i-nodes keeping links to file i-nodes. This way, even after significant damage to filesystem, most of files still can be completely recovered. You don’t need to keep the knowledge about the whole filesystem or even large parts of it in RAM: just walk along the links when needed. The file metadata are usually stored in the first i-node of the file: so, if the file is tiny enough, it can completely fit into one i-node.
