There is tremendous amount of differences between windows pc and Linux pc i will list almost some five of them but they are very essential.

1)File structure.
The Linux and windows are using two different types of file structure.

This is one of the important difference windows is having a registry which keeps track of all the files on that system but Linux lacks this
3)Package manager
In windows all new programs are comes as executable files with a .exe extension but on the case of linux it is not true it just use package manager to install files and its extension is .out
4)Open source
Linux is open source where as windows is closed source.
There is wide range of drivers are available for windows but on the case of linux drivers are very less.
