Ans :

Total built up area = 2 x 2.0 hectare = 4 hectare

= 4 x 10,000 sqm = 40,000 sqm

Ratio of residential to commercial floor area = 3:2

Thus, Residential area = 3/(3+2) x 40,000 sqm = 24,000 sqm

Commercial area = 2/(3+2) x 40,000 sqm = 16,000 sqm

The minimum parking (in ECS) needed per 100 sqm of residential and commercial floor area is 1.0 and 1.25 respectively.

Thus, required parking space (ECS) for residential area = 24,000 x (1/100) = 240 ECS

Required parking space (ECS) for commercial area = 16,000 x (1.25/100) =  200 ECS

Total parking requirement = 240 ECS + 200 ECS = 440 ECS
