Lamenting the gradual sidelining of the arts ill school curricula, a group of prominent artists wrote to the Chief Minister last year, asking him to allocate rnore funds to support arts education in schools. -GATE EC 2015

 However, no such increase has been announced in this year’s Budget. The chief minister was not receptive as they did not receive the sanction.
Nowhere in the paragraph is it mentioned that the chief minister is a prominent artist. 
Hence,statements i and iv are logically acceptable.
