Model is the structural component of a system a model describes different viewpoint of a system. 

Advantages of using a model

The model has two dimensions one is the overview of The system and another one is the overview of the model itself using thees we can easily understand the model concept.

Three models

1)Class model

It describes structure of the system in whole. It captures concepts from the real world it is using class diagram to describe itself

2)State model

It describes the objects concerned with time and sequence of the operation it captures control of the system that describes real world problem it is using state diagram to describe it

3)Interaction model

Ir describes interaction with objects it describes how individual objects collaborate to achieve the behavior of the system as whole sequence diagram and activity diagram describes the interaction model as whole.
