Data science is a field of big data which seeks to provide meaningful information from large amounts of complex data. Data Science combines different fields of work in statistics and computation in order to interpret data for the purpose of decision making. Data science is useful for it's purpose that initiates to uncover hidden value of data for an organisation and the ultimate role of a data scientist is to come up with a data product that provides actionable results to a business or it's stakeholders. Data products have three important characteristics: It is made up of data, It generates new data and The generated data is used to improve the data product itself.Data Scientists are primarily responsible for coming up with data products however they have an unusual combination of skills made up of -Statistician skills - mathematics and analytical mindset.
Software engineering - programming, hacking and distributed systems. Business analysis - industry knowledge.
